SCHOOL TOURS

We are experts in creating a structured, child-friendly fun day out which makes for the perfect school tour.

Based at our Health & Leisure Club, each school tour is designed in consultation with class teacher and comprises activities suitable to the age profile of the group with lots of fun included as standard.

Not alone do we offer state-of-the-art leisure club facilities, including a 20-metre heated indoor swimming pool, but we also have a host of outdoor attractions to include the Woodlands Walking Trail, Fairy Trail and Mini Pet Farm.  We also have ample free car parking, including coach parking.

Some of the activities we are able to offer include pool games, crab soccer, kids gym, parachute games, dodgeball, cup cake design, art and crafts, scream machine, outdoor games and many more.

Our two-hour activity package, to include a meal, is just €15 per child.  This can be pool or land based.  Food options include homemade chicken goujons and chips, locally sourced sausages and chips or a vegetarian/vegan option, followed by jelly and ice-cream for a tasty treat, served with Miwadi drinks.

We are also able to offer a full-day option in partnership with Stonehall Visitor Farm & Wildlife Park.  Your group will spend the morning enjoying a range of activities at the Woodlands Health & Leisure Club, have lunch and then travel on to Stonehall Visitor Farm & Wildlife Park for an inclusive price of €24* per child.

Have 40 students or more? Please ask us for options to accommodate your school size! We also welcome children with special needs and can cater food selections for those with allergies.

Please note that the Woodlands Health & Leisure Club will provide facilities, instruction and private changing arrangements in compliance with Tusla Child Protection Legislation.  However, monitoring the children, beginning and completing the activities within the time allotted and abiding with leisure club rules is the sole responsibility of the school and its designated representatives.

If you would like to organise swimming lessons for your class (primary or secondary school), we would be happy to talk to you about putting together a custom-designed programme for your school or class group.

Lessons take place in our heated indoor swimming pool for an agreed time period over a number of weeks.  Lessons will be delivered by our qualified swimming instructors, experienced in working with children and young people.  We also offer complimentary on-site school bus/coach parking.
